Solo Performance by Alva Morgenstern (Austria) - Aurora Digitalis @ Teatro do Bairro (Lisbon) in the scope of 3rd edition InShadow - International Festival of Video, Performance and TechnologiesSynopsisThe piece exists at the intersection of body and digital imagery and seeks to create a symbiotic relationship between these two. The body of a female live performer is being used as a projection surface. The choreography of the piece is kept to a minimum as the focus is placed on sculpting the human body with light. Motion and shape of the projected images are carefully designed in order to complement the choreography and vice versa. This creates a world of illusions, where the real body is being transformed into an imagined body. The performer is wearing finger extensions.
