Calvo.The piece ist dedicated to the Colombian composer ( 1882-1945 ) who combined traditional Colombian rhythms and melodies with a classical style, thus creating beautiful compositions for piano. Carlos Jaramillo places this interesting combination of musical styles in the center of his choreography. He takes elements of the Colombian folk dance and combines them with a neo-classical and modern style of dance.Carlos Jaramillo tries to give an impression how the people of the different social classes of the Colombian society danced to this music and which feeling towards life they connected with this dance.Composer: Luis A.
